WHAT PREVENTIVE MEASURES AGAINST CYTOMEGALOVIRUS [CMV] INFECTION AT PREGNANT WOMEN

            The basic preventive measure is research on presence cytomegalovirus infection before pregnancy. Research of pregnant women on presence of antibodies to a cytomegalovirus is intended for revealing not CMV infected women who during pregnancy should observe safety measures in order to avoid primary infection.

 

Observance of following rules will reduce probability CMV infection:

1. Carefully to wash hands with soap in a current of 15-20 minutes after change of diapers (pampers,...) of sucking children.

2. Not to kiss children younger 5 years in lips.

3. To allocate for itself and small children separate ware.

4. Women, who work in child care centers (a day nursery, kinder garden) for the period of pregnancy to take vacation or sharply to limit contacts to children.
