PEPPERMINT (BRANDY MINT, MENTHA PIPERITA). HEALING PROPERTIES

Leaves and mint flowers contain:

- Mint oil:
      - Menthol,
- Coffee acid,
- Chlorogenic acid,
- Flavonids,
- Carotin.
Mint improves digestion, renders choleretic and soothing action. Mint infusions possess spasmolytic and anaesthetizing action, cause vasodilation. Mint infusion is used at:
- Spasm of intestines,
- Nausea.
Two table spoons of the crushed leaves of mint fill in with two cups of strong boiled water, 20 minutes set aside and drink on a half-cup three times a day on a hungry stomach.
At external using mint reduces painful sensitivity.
